Who we are

SaleSwift is a South African software company that builds point-of-sale products — Resty (restaurant POS) and Retaily (retail POS). This policy covers our websites (saleswift.co.za, resty.co.za, retaily.co.za), our enquiry and lead forms (including forms on Facebook and Instagram), and our advertising. What we collect

• Enquiry details you give us — your name, email address, phone number, business name and type, number of devices, and your city or suburb, when you submit an enquiry form (on our site or on Facebook/Instagram) or email us.
• Usage information — standard analytics such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, collected via cookies and similar technologies when you browse our websites.
• Customer account data — if you become a SaleSwift customer, the business information needed to set up and support your account and billing.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To provide, support and improve our products.
• To send you relevant information about our products — you can opt out at any time.
• To measure and improve our advertising (for example, understanding which ads lead to enquiries).

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, under their own privacy safeguards:

• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — when you submit a lead form on those platforms, Meta processes the form under its own data policy before passing it to us.
• Google — analytics and advertising measurement.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run our websites and products.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer (in which case account records are kept for the duration of the relationship and as required by law, e.g. tax records). You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask us at any time to:

• confirm what personal information we hold about you;
• correct or update it;
• delete it, where we’re not legally required to keep it;
• stop sending you marketing.

Email [email protected] and we’ll action it within a reasonable time. If you believe we’ve mishandled your information, you may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — encrypted connections, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Children

Our websites, products and advertising are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published on this page with a new “last updated” date.
